Every time you eat at a local restaurant or grab curbside from a local spot, you’re making a huge impact in the community. This month’s box is curated from 5 Louisiana businesses! We hope you spread the word on these products and buy local because for every business you help support, you’re supporting a local family in your community!

Love Local

Sweet Baton Rouge · sweetbatonrouge.com

Retail: $30

This month’s shirt was inspired by those who create, and we wanted to provide you with a design that’s all about loving local. Here at Sweet Baton Rouge, we pride ourselves on our support and love for other small businesses, in Louisiana! We are also donating 50% of our sales in September alongside our Locals Supporting Locals campaign each month! As we enter into the Fall season, you can pair this cute t-shirt with your favorite jeans, booties, add a pop of color with a cardigan and share how much you LOVE LOCAL when you wear it proudly.

Red Beans Kitchen Towel

Nola Tawk · nolatawk.com

Retail: $5

Enjoy this red striped dish towel that’s hand stamped, using water-based inks. The towels are 100% cotton, 4-sided stitchwork, have a hook for hanging as you please and are machine washable and yes, ready for Wash Mondays’! Monday’s used to be the one wash day of the week. Traditionally, women of the house would put on a pot of red beans to cook all day while they tended to the laundry, since the meal required little hands-on attention. To stick with the traditional Monday theme, we thought it would be fun for you to enjoy this locally made towel and pick up some red beans one Monday night, in September!

Louisiana Repeat Stadium Cups

Sweet Baton Rouge · sweetbatonrouge.com

Retail: $5

What better way to drink your cocktail mixes than with a Louisiana stadium cup? Along with eating local, we also support drinking local. Have you checked out any of Louisiana’s local breweries?

Southern Craft Brewing Co. in Baton Rouge, built their brewery from the ground up. Two men started out as homebrewers for a hobby and eventually turned it into a local business!  Gilla Brewing Company, located in Gonzales, is owned by three men who started out as homebrewers. They specialize in fruited sours, New England IPA’s, and pastry stouts. There are quite a few breweries in the state of Louisiana and we love showing support for other local businesses!
